![]() ![]() ![]() I was in Charlie's shoes reassuring my little sister to not be nervous and that everything was going to be okay. I did not have that being that I was the oldest. Lola was lucky to have an older brother Charlie to be able to talk to her and reassure her that it is not as bad as she thinks it is. I remember how I felt on my first day, and can see why Lola was so nervous about her first day of school. No one knows what to expect and its like going in with a blindfold. I can somewhat relate to Lola as far as having fears on the first day of school. Charlie was able to talk Lola into seeing how school is, and Lola even made a new friend the first day. It was a cute story but I don't think that I would read this to my students as a back to school book. He tells her that she will make new friends and learn new things like how to write and read. Her older brother Charlie tries his best to reassure her that its not as bad as she thinks it is. In the story Lola is so nervous and has many different fears about starting school. ![]() This book was not one of my favorite books to read to children for back to school. ![]()
